Romanian-origin German citizen Anton Stan persuaded two elderly people from abroad to provide him with mandates allowing him to represent the two in the trial on restitution of properties in Romania. Later on he added on the legalized documents one extra point, saying he had the right to sell those properties he had only been allowed to ask back, on behalf of the two citizens. This way Stan and his wife managed to deprive of their personal estate several owners or heirs from the Diaspora. Several Justice officials from Germany, USA and Italy helped them commit such crimes.
