Romanian PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu agreed to the structure of the council to rule the Institute for Investigation on Communist Crimes in Romania. Civil society personalities are members on this council: Doina Cornea, Andrei Plesu, Gabriel Liiceanu, Petre Bacanu and more. The Romanian government established this institute at the end of last year as a structure to look into the communist regime and the system of power from an institutional point of view. Council members are to unveil party activists, officers and magistrates working for the repression system, and to disclose the abuses and crimes committed. (...) (Mediafax)
