Cine este poetul web 2.0 de la televizor?

I am fan mail from a North-Sea Oil rig worker and chatroom chatter from Gibraltar
I am video love poems the stroke of midnight to my girlfriend as she wakes up half a globe away
I am blog updates with some new found friends in the sunshine of the city plaza
I am the boy with the book on the bank of a river whose picture I took and then e-mailed to my mother because he looked like my brother
I am the downloads I do uptown and the uploads I do downtown
I am Rives, the first 2.0 poet and thanks to everyone, I’m inspired wherever I go

Ce am aflat noi despre el...

• a castigat premiul cel mare la National Poetry Slam in 2004;
• mestereste cu dibacie unele dintre cele mai fascinante carti pop-up pentru copii: "If I were a Polar Bear" si "The Christmas Box" sunt doua dintre cartile pop-up ale caror povesti, ilustratii si design au fost realizate chiar de el;
• este vedeta Conferintei TED. Anual, ii impresioneaza pe participanti cu usurinta prin care isi construieste un moment umoristic;
• a participat timp de 4 sezoane la HBO Def Poetry Jam;
• isi recita poeziile in spectacole, pe ritmurile hip-hop ale unui beatboxer, insotit adesea de muzicuta care ii coloreaza momentele umoristice;
• e prezent in blogosfera cu topul "Cuvantul Saptamanii" ("The Word of the Week"), fotografii in iPhone, povesti despre evenimente culturale si multe alte ganduri nastrusnice despre lucrurile care il inspira;
• a dezvoltat si a predat un curs de blogging si de retele sociale (social networks) la International Center of Photography din New York;
• a moderat show-ul de televiziune "Masters of Ceremonies";
• este gazda show-ului de televiziune "Ironic Icon America", emisiune de cultura contemporana americana;

Datorita ineditului acestui personaj - primul poet web 2.0 - si referintelor la blogging, campania a suscitat interes in blogosfera din Ro primind comentarii favorabile (au scris despre campanie Manafu, Mihai Dragan, Gramo, Blogatu, Marius Sescu, Cris etc).

John Rives, protagonistul campaniei Orange Internet Everywhere, a fost invitat de Orange in Romania la inceputul lunii noiembrie.
