A demonstration meant to express support for Traian Basescu, Romania's suspended President, was arranged to take place in Paris last weekend, but it failed. It lasted too little, as very few people got to the place, ZIUA sources claim. There were actually only 6 persons who waved Romania's flag and two banners.
ZIUA sources say the suspended President's adviser, Cristian Preda, went to Paris last weekened, where he attended a reunion of the Francophony Committee. Cristian Preda took this opportunity to arrange a meeting with Romanians living in the capital city of France to express support for Traian Basescu. (L.I.)
