Conform rezultatelor sondajului publicate de telegraph.co.uk, 7 din 10 barbati au recunoscut ca un cantec foarte trist poate sa-i faca sa planga. Mai specific, 84% dintre barbatii cu varste intre 18 si 24 de ani au plans cel putin o data in viata din cauza unei melodii.

Partea mai interesanta a studiului reprezinta topul realizat cu cele mai triste melodii din toate timpurile, votate bineinteles de respondenti. Pe locul I s-a clasat "Everybody Hurts" al formatiei REM. Pe urmatoarele doua pozitii se claseaza cantecele Candle in the Wind (Elton John) si The Living Years (Mike and the Mechanics).
