The 44-year old Romanian came down on the German President, but he failed to get closer due to the vigilant bodyguards. "He looked confused. He was trying to arrest attention because he had trouble paying his rent", a local police representative commented. The German Presidency's spokesman announced the aggression was not politically motivated. (D.E.)
